Recently TemplateMonster set its design team to a practical and creative task. What I’m talking about is TM’s tradition for helping to redesign community-oriented websites for a more attractive and functional web presence.OpenSource.org is a newly redesigned and rebranded resource, but it is actually one of the Internet’s old-timers that has helped many new users and merchants to succeed in eCommerce. And OpenSource.org is still a huge favorite out there!
TM has taken on projects of this kind before, and we have a special affection for www.OpenSource.org . Our experts have also recently redesigned anybrowser.org absolutely free of charge. Both anybrowser.org and opensource.org have done a great deal of good for internet users. We at TemplateMonster know that it was totally fitting to help these great guys to improve their designs. We just decided to assist them in upgrading their layout.
And along these same lines of helping out the people who help others out: we are always ready to help charity organizations and funds - or other altruistic websites - in their missions by offering to redesign their websites. After all we want to be the Internet’s design leader, and to do it responsibly. Are you next?

Dear Template Monster Team,
Seeing that you support OpenSource.org and AnyBrowser.org is great. It shows that T.M. has a sensibility regarding to the www’s “social part*”.
Please allow me to make some observations regarding to opensource.org’s redesign and rebranding:
1. The green[header]-dark orange[header/footer] association is not the most successful one. The dark orange attracts the eye but nothing more. It would have a partially justified role if above it there would be links, the links of the main navigation menu. According to the current site’s structure I would obtain for a different secondary color, instead of dark orange.
2. The logo has some problems:
a. a conceptual problem
The logo has a 1 pixel outer line. Is this a good graphic solution? No. Why? Because if you would resize the logo’s vector source file - to make it smaller or bigger - the outer line wouldn’t change its size: it would remain 1 pixel. This means that in case of a dramatic resize [to smaller or bigger] the logo would loose its current graphic construction and concept.
b. design problems
I. poor quality - because of the use of a png file, the logo’s main color is undefinable and it contains two main and some additional internal colors. The two main internal colors are:
#4CB461 and #4EBD62
II. the curve from under the logo should be smooth but, unfortunately, is not.
Please see my illustration: http://www.psdlayout.com/curve.jpg
I would like to help you fixing these problems.
If your open to reevaluate the logo, please let me know and I’ll come up with some suggestions.
