Top Hotels Websites – Summertime Inspiration
Aloha to you all once again. Well, since it’s a period of hotels obcession at TemplateMonster (see previous news entry) we’ve came up with the review of world’s top hotels websites – to show you what they should look like and of course for a little bit of sweet summertime inspiration.
By the way, there’s another interesting thing we’ve noticed while working on this review. As weird as it may sound, but many of the world’s top hotels for some reason ignore the importance of a good website design and sometimes the website really looks cheap and outdated. But not today – in this review we present only the premium designs, the ones that we ourselves admire.
* * *
One of the Morgan’s Hotel group, a very nice Flash website with an image-based design. The whole website firstly seems to be an image.
* * *
Another one with an image-based design (that’s a common practice among this kind of websites), however this one contains more functional elements – menu tabs and header.
* * *
That’s a beautiful night-style design approach. Plus the image-based website navigation menu in the footer looks great.
* * *
Well, don’t say you didn’t expect to see it here – everything fits the corporate style so perfectly well – even the clipart image colors.
* * *
Another website with a big image as a basis for the website design. However this time the navigation menu is much more vivid but doesn’t spoil the big picture at the same time.
* * *
This is an illustration of another trend among the hotels websites – to put the image of the hotel itself (whether exterior or interior) as a lead design element.
* * *
This one has impressed us with the awesome slideshow of the hotel photos at the homepage. Moreover, some of the photos in this slideshow are also animated (check out the burning candles and the ripples on the water).
* * *
Now that design approach could indeed become a future of hotels website design. A rare example of how a great functionality may really work well together with all these trendy image transperencies.
* * *
Quite simple but pretty much brilliant – the hotel’s corporate colors combined with a calm image make it all look great.
* * *
That’s a pompous Vegas style, made with only one purpose – to impress. Well, that’s what it actually does.
* * *
Now this is one of our favorite ones – the colorful graphic approach is hard to deal with, it takes a lot of efforts and talent to make it look as good as it does.
* * *
Even though it’s called Standard it’s not standard at all (we wish it was
). It’s obvious that the designer has done a good job of playing with the text fields and square areas throughout the design.
* * *
Another example of the Las Vegas design approach – glamourous, shiny and appealing. Once again, does it’s job exceptionally well.
* * *
Oh yeah, the big image once again – you know we love these. It’s the same design approach as with Ritz Madrid (no wonder, that’s the same group).
* * *
More Vegas! Demonstration of how well the good picture saves the day for a design. However, there’s not doubt that the design itself is very functional, too.
* * *
This one is here because of the original navigation menu solution (I mean we’ve seen big pictures before, right?). So the menu combined with the big picture and functional footer really look fantastic.
* * *
Well, no surprise here – Trump is all about being big. And the website therefore is also very ‘trumpish’ – functional and impressive (kinda similar to what we call ‘the Vegas style’).
* * *
This one is here because it’s classics – maximum functionality. At the same time this classics contains nice Flash area and big images.
* * *
A great example of how functional elements become essential parts of the design – the both look great (for the fans of design) and easy to work with (for all the rest).
* * *
Ok, and the last one. It’s a very special ‘curvy’ design, there’s no doubt about that. Plus there’s a little hint – an interactive Flash piano in the header.
* * *
That’s it for now, hopefully you’ve enjoyed this collection. In case you want to see more – hurry up to check out our extensive collection of hotels website designs.
