TemplateMonster Website Downtime – Many Apologies

As we all know, it happens – and once in a while this “it” even happens to us. TemplateMonster and a couple more of our website were down for a couple of hours today. But everything’s fine by now and we’ve fixed it all. So in case you were unable to access the TemplateMonster websites (as well as MyTemplateStorage.com or TemplateTuning.com) please be informed that it was not a serious problem and didn’t last long.

The reason for all that was the DNS problem – therefore not everyone has experienced the problem mentioned, only some of our visitors were unable to access our website. Anyways, everything’s fine now but there is a tiny chance that some of you (just a couple out of thousands) may still see the error – these last signs may last until 1pm EST August 19th 2009.

Yes, still down. That is NOT a good thing for a company that creates websites. Good luck with recovering your site and then recovering any lost business.

Still down for me as well. Don’t know that much about DNS, but is this just a propagation issue or are requests from some gateway’s just not routing properly? Would it help if people submitted their ISP and general location (anonymously) ?

Most likely they switch the location of their server. Its like if you had your website hosted by Company A and then decide to go to Company B instead. It can take up to 48 hours to complete, but most people will see it in 3.
Still a no go in Ohio. Waiting to find the right template right now.

Really sorry. We thought that we fixed it but it’s obvious now that we didn’t.
Kris is right, most people can see the website now but not all. Looks like we need more time that we expected.

Guys, many many thanks to you all for reporting – we do need maximum IPs that are unable to access our website for being able to fix it. After all we’re not a hosting company and we’re not used to the problems of this kind. Yesterday we were informed that everything was fine but apparently things have changed after that.
So while we’re working on it we kindly ask you guys to keep reporting, that will be really helpful.
