The Flash Worlds – Top Websites Based on Flash Environments
Since their very first days Flash-based website environments have been a matter of obsession for millions of Flash artists and graphic designers. Not long ago having a website with this sort of 3D-style environment has become really popular and that’s when we started seeing more and more websites of this kind. So now we present a collection of websites based on Flash environments – please welcome.

SensiSoft
Since most of the websites of this kind are so creative for their navigation solutions this one can be called a typical one – it does have an original navigation solution.
* * *
Zeroix
This one’s navigation may not be as awesome as with some of the others but it does have one of the most impressive graphics on this list (or maybe even the most impressive). All of the website’s elements are based on custom 3D models designed exclusively for this website – even the background. Not to mention the mini-game of website’s preloader.

ff0000 (Red Universe)
The Red Universe website is maybe not very much 3-dimentional but it has a funny character to play with instead. The guy walks along some sort of cemetery or ruins and that’s actually fun. However some people may find it hard to locate the navigation menu (it’s in the right bottom corner in case you are one of those).
* * *
TriangleMystery
Ok, this really is a mystery – a website packed so much with all of these interactive elements that you may play with, weird texts telling about some kind of triangle-related mystery and in the end (after you break a wall with a flying double pyramid – as weird as this alone sounds) it appears to be linked to a Doritos chips promo website.

NikeXX3
Remember what I told about the navigation earlier? Well, this is another great example – the navigation in this case is done with the small… humm… let’s call it a Flash joystick that you use with a mouse (you see it on a screenshot above as a little white circle). Anyways, it may sound complicated but it’s a lot of fun to use it.

DragonHunters
This is also one of the most beautiful and bright animations on this list. Plus, similarly to Zeroix, it has great characters (apparently from the game itself).
* * *
Tinman
Now that’s clearly the best item on our list – with all of its technical perfection that’s an art project. It has the most beautiful animation and elements design transforming into each other as the animation goes.
* * *
PrismGirl
This one has incredibly detailed graphics – which is of course awesome. But what fascinates even more is that these graphics are like this throughout the whole website – including the city landscape on the background. The whole website by the way is arranged as a giant tree and you navigate along this tree up and down.

MauricioStudio
The Mauricio’s website is kinda “cartoonish” but that’s what actually makes this website so cool. Well maybe it’s not very much 3D in the way we are used to it but it’s definitely 3D in its design and animation – the sections’ animations are separated from each other to make it look as if they were in perspective – that makes it look like 3D in fact. So that’s how you make a 3D-style animation out of a usual cartoon.
* * *
ZoomQuilt II
Zoomquilt II is not anymore a functional website (there’s an ordinary website there now) but we managed to find the animation from it and here it is. As a matter of fact you may find this animation a little bit similar to what we’ve previously seen in the Sy-Fy Tinman animation – well, that’s because the Tinman concept was initially inspired by Zoomquilt. Anyways, that’s classics. We have also found the Zoomquilt I, you may find it interesting too. Take a look:

ParasolIsland
We admit that this website is also not as 3D-style as some other ones on this list but there surely is an environment and that environment is really awesome – animated surf, waterfall and cave. Not to mention the great Flash mini game allowing you to draw on the sand and either save your masterpiece or send it to a friend.
* * *
Fubon
Medieval style and computer game style animation are the things that determine the impression of this website. It may first seem simple but the website looks really awesome and in addition to a great main animation it has a very nicely sophisticated animation canvas.
* * *
WestCoastCornhole
Ok, don’t mind the website name – by saying ‘cornhole’ they mean some osrt of a new outdoor family game and the website delivers a message of outdoor fun greatly – take a look at the beach and all of the activity. Plus the navigation menu solution is amazingly fun to use.
* * *
MCBD
This one is truly 3D-style even though its environment is not the way you have expected it to be. We’re all used to the landscape-style environments, this one – though non-landscape – is also an environment and it works just great for making the website so impressive.
* * *
Well, that’s about it for now – it was an awesome collection, wasn’t it? We really hope you’ve enjoyed the list and remember – the true design has no boundaries and therefore it will never end. We will keep bringing you the new proofs for that.
