World’s Top Beer Websites - Part 2
October 2nd, 2009 in ReviewsFor a couple of weeks each year the whole world starts spelling October with “k” instead of “c” - that’s a good sign of Oktoberfest. And that in turn means beer fests all over the world - including TemplateMonster. Don’t get us wrong, we don’t drink while at work, but as a design company we are having our own beer fest. We have compiled a second part of world’s best beer-related websites (the first part of Best Beer Websites review was published earlier this year on St. Patrick’s Day). The today’s ones are mostly local websites of world’s top beer brands but that doesn’t mean these websites are less spectacular. Enjoy!
Please note: by reading this post you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are aware of the drinking responsibility. TemplateMonster along with the review listing items (breweries) below in all ways advocates the drinking awareness terms and popularizes the responsible and moderate drinking.

Every beer website is meant to keep the audience involved - after all just showing off the nice beer bottles is no longer considered cool. This website keeps you involved with the nice and simple Flash application - you upload your photo and may see yourself next to Zeca Pagodinho - a famous Brazilian singer.
* * *
That’s a British beer website and although U.K. is not traditionally considered a top brewing territory it still has its share - including the websites. This one has a grunge or punk style design - as well as the beer brand concept itself.
* * *
This one is the Czech local website of our dearest Budwizer. It’s a premium design - kinda minimalistic but very functional. Does its job perfectly.
* * *
Another Brazilian beauty - very dynamic and fresh design. That’s also without a doubt a perfect reflection of brand concept - refreshing drink for brighter life.
* * *
This one is also from Brazil (it appears that there are loads of awesome beer websites from Brazil - you’ll even see some of them in this post). But what’s uncommon about this website is that unlike most of Brazil’s beer websites this one is made in green while the others are mostly yellow-white-red.
* * *
Yes, also Brazil. Remember what we’ve said about the Brazilian brewing industry colors? Well, you can even say that this one is Brazilian even without knowing its name - just by seeing it’s in yellow, white and red colors. But it does have a great Flash menu - simply lovely!
* * *
Ok, now that’s unusual - the beer website that does not expose beer bottles or glasses at the homepage. Even more awesome it is because of the rich Flash menu that kinda simulates the environment of some sort of Troll country.
* * *
An Australian brand with a website made in some sort of retro style with grungy textures (including text) and a background moving as you move the mouse pointer.
* * *
Ok, Brazil again. But this time it’s kinda unusual for Brazil. First of all because of the colors (non-yellow-white-red design) but also because of the website navigation and the way the content is delivered.
* * *
Yeah, it’s Heineken again, this time it’s the Slovak localized website version. But even so it’s fully loaded with awesome Flash animations, interfaces and the beer-related content. What can we say - Heineken is always a Heineken.
* * *
Now that’s more like it - the Brazilian beer colors (missed them already?) and the beautiful ‘Garotas’ in the header as well as all over the website. In fact this website is perhaps the most Brazilian presented here - a) the colors, b) the chicks (let’s call them ‘garotas’ - after all the Brazilian chicks are special, don’t you think?) and c) soccer.
* * *
Also a non-typical brewery website - no beer itself. But that’s not that bad after all the design is great as well as the Flash animation. Check out the monochrome design elements all over the website.
* * *
Now that’s the kind of design that brilliantly creates an image of good-old brewery, it really shows that this image was the initial company’s intention.
* * *
Another American brand. What’s great about this one is the unusual design approach - it’s all done as a desk with a newspaper lying on it. And that newspaper is actually a website’s active area. Looks really interesting.
* * *
Ok, here they come. A set of truly Brazilian websites is ahead (mixed with some non-Brazilian - will you be able to tell them from the Brazilian ones?). Anyways, this one is in traditional colors, bright and very pleasant in navigating through.
* * *
Guess where this one’s from
But what’s great about it is the brilliant and original navigation solution - animated beer caps instead of menu buttons. Plus there’s a 3D effect.
* * *
This one has a huge photograph of pouring beer in the center of the website design. And even though using the beer image as a primary design detail is not usually considered a kosher design approach, this photo is simply beautiful and there’s no way we could keep it out of the list. Besides, the rest of the design is also pretty god - especially the menu.
* * *
Ok, that’s it for now. Are you guys feeling inspired already? Whatever the answer is we’re happy you’re here sharing the joy with us. And don’t forget to spell October with “k” as a sign of your devotion to the Oktoberfest spirit.

Beer advertising should be banned from the internet. How come that beverages that cause death and desease, accidents and rapes and addiction are allowed to be shown in such glorious ways? Do you know how many too young girls get raped on all the Oktoberfests any year. Ya, you do not know because the guys are drink from this stuff, rape the gals and make them too scared to do something against it OR they make them drunk so they simply like the rape and not even remember it, suddenly appearing on some other types of websites as drunk teen bangers who do all what they can, while being intoxicated. All what the drinks cause is that a rape turns to fun for the rapes ones, so **** the spirit you promote and the promotion of alcohol on the internet!
Thanks, there is no spriti of Oktoberfest, where people only use to get drunk and cause more pain, even to themselves but aint realizing it because they are drunk on the spirit of Oktobertfest.
Shame on you for promoting this kind of ””!

Ok, it seems like a little bit of overreacting. What we promote here is the design, not the beer itself. Did you ever notice that we do not rate beers and comment only the designs instead? It’s the “best beer WEBSITES” post, not “best beers to get drunk and rape someone”.
But we get the point and we totaly agree that beer and other alcoholic drinks should be consumed moderately. However the designs still come first.

I educate about graphic design to my colleagues in-house in the company in which i work. It was an visual treat to see various styles of design from minimalistic, grunge to virtual real. I will sure show my fellow designers these references and get them inspired.
