25 Scrolling Flash Website Designs – New Trend in Flash

The use of Flash to create web interfaces has enabled designers to develop many new ways for browsing the information. Today we’ve decided to shift the focus on long scrolling Flash web designs that currently trend towards a new interesting deployment. Long Flash websites do not lay out all Flash content in a fullscreen web page filling the screen without scaling it, but allow the scrolling of the content when the browser window is smaller than the minimum area required to display it. In other words these web designs have a scrolling component, arrayed horizontally or vertically, and customize it to suit their interfaces. As you navigate through the following web designs you’ll get more familiar with this newer type of navigation solution. So enough of introduction – go get around these captivating designs and see how brilliantly they utilize the scrolling making it not just a functional tool for navigation but also a nice-looking design solution.

It all started as a joke and a bit of a challenge. But then somewhere along the line I realized that being involved in copy-writing is too good to pass up. Big love for analyzing was a certain slide to where I am now. To pick up every tidbit of info, meditate on words literariness, and then pour it all in a decent form - that is the essence of my current work being. Overall, I see the web as a Klondike of art, music, and literature... it's all there. Maybe someday, I'll brave more than just copy-writing. We'll see. on Google+.

Most of these sites are really terrible. Far too artsy and not to the point. The monet website took half a minute to even load! I think most Flash designs like these go over the top and besides that, they miss an important part of the audience: all Apple phones and tablets for instance. Keep it simple, please. I think Javascript (JQuery solutions) and HTML 5 are the future!

Hard to imagine a website designer calling those sites terrible. Artsy, cutting edge, provocative – that is the point of “those sites”. If they’re missing you it really doesn’t matter because obviously you are not a part of their chosen audience.

          Hi Stephen,

Obviously I’m not part of their audience, you’re right. But what about Apple Iphone and Ipad users? They should be a major part of their audience and they aren’t served. Apple believes Javascript and HTML 5 are the future, and, once again, I think they’re right. If you use this (with Flash fallback) you serve almost everyone…

My goodness those are annoying sites! They took forever to load…the monet one I couldn’t even figure out how to navigate…Not your best TM!

I am a fan of these when used in appropriate circumstances (e.g., Nike’s use). Does TM have any scrolling flash templates?

    • Andrei

how to get one of these templates/sites if I like it?

Flash is dead for 2 reasons: extremely bad SEO compatibility and HTML5 knocking on the door. Finally!
